Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS)

The Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) analysis method uses a high-frequency inductively coupled plasma as ionization source and a Mass Spectrometer as mass/charge filter device. It is ideal for the elemental analysis of sample solutions, in particular where the lowest detection limits are demanded. Due to the increase in the number of analyzed samples, analyzed elements and detection limits in recent years, the ICP Mass Spectrometer has become highly regarded for its speed, accuracy and performance.

The ICP-MS is widely used for analysis of drinking water and enables a large field of applications for elemental analysis. Besides environmental testing laboratories (water, soils), the ICPMS-2030 is used in the food industry, in clinical laboratories and in the pharmaceutical sector to fulfill the latest requirements of USP232/233 and the ICH-Q3D guideline for elemental impurities.
